Navy Sloth Paintings – The Great Escape
The great escape is an abstract oil drip painting created in 2020 during the COVID lockdown.
This quad canvas painting was created using droplets of blue, green, white and gold oil paint on a cobalt blue background. Drawing you into layers of colour and texture, moving your eyes around each individual square before viewing it as a whole.
Created not only for my love of painting, the great escape also helped me to unwind and relax. The random process of drip painting allowed me to clear my mind during these uncertain times, a welcomed escape indeed.
Each individual square is 40cm x 40cm and it is recommended to leave a 1cm gap between each one when displaying them.
