Navy Sloth Paintings – Quackers

This is Quackers, an abstract mixed media painting with a duck theme! Yes that’s right, yellow duckies everywhere! Since becoming a mother my life seems to be surrounded by ducks – my daughter loves them! Quackers  was created by firstly putting my illustration skills to use and sketching out a duck template. I then drew an army of ducks onto fabric, cutting them out and gluing them onto my canvas. Once the glue dried I added a few layers of white acryic paint to the whole piece. I decided to use several shades of yellow and randomly let the oil paint move around the canvas, allowing the ducks to show individuality and shake their tail feathers. 

Quackers would be perfect for a childs bedroom, both boys and girls. It would also look great in a playroom or anywhere around the house where your little one can point and interact with (parents/guests making duck noises as they pass optional!)
