Navy Sloth Paintings – Bad Hair Day
Bad Hair Day is one of my personal favourites, it’s bold and brash, almost dishevelled in appearance with a real attitude.
This abstract movement painting was created by dragging paint along the canvas in multiple directions using my old credit cards! It fascinates me how the colours overlap and mix then disappear and re-appear! It’s a matter of self control and knowing your limits with the paint to avoid over working areas. A similar process used by the artist Gerhard Richter who is my personal favourite and an inspiration. He doesn’t use a credit card to produce his work mind you, however you can use yours to buy Bad hair day from my gallery.
