Navy Sloth Paintings – Chester Copperpot
Chester Copperpot is an abstract mixed media painting.
Selected shades of metallic colours are combined with delicate shades of blue, jade and cream to create this beautiful bold canvas. I cut circular discs of fabric by hand, stuck them to the canvas and let them dry. Then layers upon layers of paint were added until I felt the need to stop. It’s hard to know when to actually finish a piece, but the end result was a regal creation with a hint of drama and adventure to it. To me, it has an Egyptian vibe to it.
